by car or campervan
Getting to Riva del Garda by car or campervan is easy:
From the north or south: take the A22 Brenner Motorway, exit at Rovereto Sud–Lago di Garda Nord and continue along the SS240 for about 17 km.
From Brescia and the western shore of Lake Garda: follow the SS45bis Gardesana Occidentale towards Riva del Garda.

By bus
If you are travelling independently, you can reach Riva del Garda using Trentino Trasporti scheduled bus services. The main stop is Riva del Garda Bus Station on Viale Trento. From here, the historic centre and the Christmas Market stalls in Piazza Garibaldi and Piazza Cesare Battisti are within easy walking distance.
If you are travelling with an organised group, coaches can park in the dedicated tourist coach parking area on Via Marone, in the Baltera district, open 24 hours a day. From here, the group can continue towards the centre and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere. Check the coach parking information and rates.
by train
Riva del Garda does not have a railway station. The nearest and most convenient one is Rovereto, served year-round by Trenitalia, ÖBB and DB.
From outside the station, you can continue by Trentino Trasporti bus, with regular services to Torbole and Riva del Garda. The bus arrives at Riva del Garda Bus Station on Viale Trento; from here, the Christmas Market stalls are just a short walk away.
